This is a social engineering technique used by fraudsters to trick consumers into giving away private information that can lead to fraudulent debit card transactions, account takeover, or identity theft.
NuMark will never text or call you and ask you to verify confidential information including your social security number, the CVV from your card, or your digital banking password. If a NuMark team member needs confidential information, they will ask you to call us back at our published phone number so that you are confident you are talking to your trusted financial partner!
Fraudsters typically create a sense of urgency. We encourage you to STOP – THINK – VERIFY.
